Hello and Welcome!

My name is Molly Moell, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I am passionate about empowering, embracing, and supporting couples, families, children, teens, and adults who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, anxiety, and other developmental, behavioral, and learning differences. Primarily utilizing a positive and solution-focused approach — from a neurodiversity-affirming lens — I aim to harness and illuminate the strengths already within my clients so that they can thrive and meet their goals. As both a BCBA and an LMFT, I have a unique understanding of behavioral, emotional, and developmental differences, as well as the strength and healing that comes from a well-supported and empowered family system. As such, I have a profound level of gratitude and empathy towards parents, clients, and caretakers; and with infectious optimism and heartfelt enthusiasm, I cherish every opportunity to fully devote myself to the therapeutic journey with them.

Originally from the Midwest, I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, where I helped co-found an Autism treatment center with an esteemed professor, Dr. Thomas Whitman. In 2007, I relocated to Southern California to pursue graduate school at the California School of Professional Psychology, a region of the country I knew was at the forefront of Autism treatment and research. I have now had the privilege of working in this beloved field for 23 years, in positions and settings that include public and private schools, hospitals, non-profit organizations, and, most recently, serving nearly a decade as the Executive Clinical Director of a large private therapeutic agency. Utilizing an extensive background in progressive Applied Behavior Analysis, cognitive-behavior therapy, family systems therapy, and positive psychology, I am able to provide individual, couples, and family therapy, parent training, social skills training, behavior consultation, school-based consultations/support/assessments, and Functional Behavior Assessments. Depending on the most optimal therapeutic context, I am happy to work via telehealth or in-person. Together, we will work towards practical skill-building, life improvement, and goal achievement.

I take a collaborative, compassionate, uplifting, and strength-based approach with my clients, and I believe that the journey of self-improvement is just as inspiring, momentous, and important as the destination itself. As a therapist, I am humbled and honored to be on that journey with my clients and look forward to climbing new heights together.
